I am a professional chef and a passionate ambassador for culinary experiences. I was born in Japan lived in Tokyo until the age of 13, where in my early years I experienced how good food can be. My experiences growing up in Japan have greatly influenced my approach to food throughout my life.
As has my mother. While mum didn’t love cooking – she was such an adventurous eater. She was health-oriented and fanatical about vegetables. She handed both her love of vegetables and adventurous approach to foods down to me.
I really want to find and create joy in making and eating food. My career and has been centred around forging connections, discovering how people interact with food and fostering a deep appreciation for cultural diversity.
Through my work, I want to celebrate all the cultures that contribute to the food we love, where every ingredient tells a story, and every meal is an opportunity to connect. I am excited to share and celebrate diversity of culture through food.
