My Malaysian Chinese heritage means a lot of spice influence, as well as traditional, home cooked Chinese food that my mum makes - which you can’t find in restaurants.
I love cooking, mainly to experiment so I can end up with easy, healthy recipes to cook on weeknights when I’m more pressed for time. Knowing I can create a quick meal in 15 or 30 minutes really takes the stress out of cooking during the week. I am all about easy meals for busy people and it’s so nice to be able to share some recipes and be inspired by others through Love my Salad.
On my hobby farm in Daylesford, Victoria, I grow a whole range of vegetables. We don’t really have the climate for warmer vegetables, so my mainstay veggies are snow peas, asparagus, garlic, silver beet, coriander, saffron, berries, broad beans and French beans. All fail-safe! Snow peas are my favourite vegetable – they can be eaten fresh or cooked and taste great either way.
