Introduction

“Agrofirma” Kogorta Ltd was found by Sokhatskiy Vadym on the territory of Kyiv region in 1996. The company already has had close cooperation with Rijk Zwaan Ukraine Ltd for many years. It takes about 400 ha for growing different products such as wheat, barley, flax, sorgo, celery and so on

The philosophy of Kogorta Ltd is based in growing such products that they suppose to be the best and they split their liking with the consumers.Sokhatskiy Vadym considers Iceberg and Salanova to be most favorite lettuces for growing. The farm had about 25-35 ha for growing lettuce half of that territory was for Iceberg in 2011. Now this territory will be increased to 50 ha. The lettuce is suitable for all year round growing that is an important characteristic of this culture for the company.Kogorta Ltd tries to make lettuces reasonable for consumers from the end of May and till the middle of November. Lettuce is suitable as for market of fresh vegetables as for processing enterprises. The contact with consumer is obliged to be sustained.
