Prominent tomatoes: the star of any salad

“We are absolutely passionate about vine tomatoes. Every day we work together to produce the best quality possible, whilst still ensuring our product is available from supermarkets within 24 hours. We know exactly what nature needs. From seed to tomato.” Grower Roel de Bakker from Kwintsheul states. “And, in the process, we don't waste any time, water or fertiliser.” Grower Richard Hartensveld adds. “Any residual energy is returned to the grid and used to supply thousands of households in the local area.”

Ripened for flavour

The growers wait patiently until the last tomato on the vine is ripe. Only when all of the tomatoes have reached the right colour, is the vine carefully cut from the plant. “This produces genuinely red vine tomatoes, which are simply bursting with flavour and nutrients”, grower Joost van der Voort from Brielle explains. “Even before the tomatoes leave the greenhouse, the quality control inspector checks them for firmness, colour, shape and possible damage. After all, only the best is good enough for both you and the growers.”

Truly versatile vegetable

Vine tomatoes are a healthy ingredient with a wholesome flavour. “This valuable fruit is simply indispensable in the kitchen. You can simmer, grill or roast this versatile ingredient, or simply enjoy it as a snack. Our cocktail-, cherry and mini plum tomatoes on the vine are extremely suitable for use in salads”, says grower Richard. “The combination of vegetables together with cheese, nuts, pasta or fruits make it a complete meal. Prominent vine tomatoes are the stars of any salad!”
